A Mandrel Connecting Machine is one of auxiliary dedicated equipment in seamless pipe mill. Its purpose is to carry out assembling or disassembling of a complete mandrel composed of working length, extension length and tail piece by screwing or unscrewing operations. 1. Features
1) Main tongs is driven by hydraulic motor and reducing gears. 2) Work piece is auto- clamped in main tongs when main tongs rotate, and auto- slack off when reverse rotating, as distinct from Italian one with hand-operated rotating chuck. 3) Work piece is clamped or slack off in the back tongs by pneumatic cylinder. 4) Insertion or removal of mandrel & its extension length in or from this machine are performed by handling equipment composed of motorized vertical biconical rolls. 5) The driving motor is of frequency inverter. 6) PLC-controlled machine auto-stops screwing as per torque setting. Measuring systems for torque and turn of revolution are set in control system. Data measured are auto-displayed and stored. 2. Parameters
