Sigma Aroma was established in 2008; although we have been involved in the essential oil business in research and development since 2004, especially in Patchouli (Nilam) Oil. We have selected local farmers and distillers to develop and co-operate together to produce a better quality of essential oil especially in Patchouli Oil. We supply them with good quality seeds, also provide them with the proper equipment (using stainless steel), and teach them to distillate the essential oil for the better quality
At present, we operate several distillation plants; they are located in Puspo and Gerbo near Malang (East Java), Boyolali and Purwokerto in Central Java, Cipayung in West Java and Lampung in Sumatera. In order to get the best oil, Patchouli Oil should be distilled at close proximity to the area of plantation.
