The company laskaridis marble s.a. Commenced its activities in 1977 in thassos as a personal enterprise of mr nikos laskaridis, has been operating without interruption since then, and today continues its business life successfully as an s.a. With a crew of 40 persons. The main activities of the company are extraction from privately owned quarries in the limenas and theologos areas of thassos, processing and elaboration of white dolomite (dolomitic) and crystalline (calcitic) marble. The products are well known by their commercial names as "prinos" (white of limenas, thassos) and "crystallina of thassos".
In 2007, laskaridis marble s.a. Completed a major “factories’ investment” plan and today is actively involved in marble cutting and processing too.
The company has developed and applies since 2007 an appropriate, for its size, "quality control system", according the elot en iso 9001: 2000 standard for the field of: quarrying, processing, elaboratio
