NataPro brand Natamycin, as nautral food preservative is used to prevent food from mold, spoilage and keep the original flavor of food. Its medical use is now confined to topical treatment of corneal fungal infections and the prevention of such infections in users of contact lens.
NisinPro brand Nisin has the property of inhibiting the growth of most of gram-positive bacteria, but not gram-negative ones or yeasts or molds. However, it may be useful against some gram-negative bacteria by certain condition. The preparation of Nisin compound with salt has known natural preservative use in food industry.
